Peak wind speed was 97 mph. We lost a few branches and the fence is waving at me ready to fall. But our neighbors a house over lost a yuuuge Evergreen. They have shallow root systems apparently, lots of them through the area were down.

A bunch of tractor trailer trucks turned over on I-25 too. The city (State?) banned them from driving for a bit it was so bad.

It also got our last lazy chicken to lay her first egg. If I’d known she needed it to be windy I would’ve turned the leaf blower in her direction.

So who wants to drive T posts tomorrow after work???

I woke up at 3 am and ran outside to retrieve my porch chairs before I ended up with a broken Tercel window. It was crazy out there.

When I got to my office there was a downed wire on one end of our building. Fortunately it was just cable and not a power line.

It could have been worse. We have had high winds rip a door open and nearly off its hinges though. That’s what we get for putting our office near the foothills.
